Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Hard Top |
There's less than 100 miles on this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Hard Top since completing its transformation/restoration. So you get a truly fresh iconic classic that gets the vintage details right while also offering you terrific upgrades like an A/C interior, upgraded V8 power, and an overdrive transmission. A fresh restoration really does make a nice first impression, and it only get better, because these '57 Chevys look stunning in red. So all the style lines that make this one a legend are highlighted by a beautiful gloss and shine. It's the kind of presentation that makes this iconic classic feel like it has its own gravity. Plus, the complete brightwork package is practically an icon all on its own. It includes the full-length trim w/tailfin insert, dual bullet-style hood ornaments, and golden Chevrolet badging signal that this VC coupe is truly the tops. And of course, the front bumper and grille combo looks like a 10,000-watt chrome smile. Even the details are awesome, too. Everything from the whitewalls to the fender skirts signal a thoughtfully done restoration. The doors open and close with a well-done kind of confidence, and when you look inside, the full interior looks like a time capsule. They invested in the vintage components, so the red seats with black coated fabric inserts feel fresh. And the two-tone door panels match nicely. Plus, the red carpeting, dash, and headliner give this a well-coordinated and very vivid attitude. Everything looks correct, right down to the trunk with full-size spare and even the jacking instructions. While all this appears like a time machine, you'll really feel one very nice upgrade. Modern R134a air conditioning is great to keep this one cool. So you can roll down all the windows and truly enjoy this desirable pillarless hardtop to the fullest - even in the summertime. This is a VC-code Bel Air born with V8 power. So when you look under the hood, it's great to still have a small block in the engine bay...but this is a far bigger upgrade than what you got in '57. This is a fresh 350 cubic-inch crate V8. It looks show-ready with plenty of shine on the valve covers air topper, alternator, and more. Plus, you have the right supporting components, like the aluminum radiator w/electric fan. And while the displacement is already an upgrade, this one has even more power thanks to a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Weiand intake. So the dual exhaust makes a truly sweet and powerful sound. When they restored this hardtop they wanted this to be an easy cruiser near or far, and so they added a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive. Plus, you also have power steering and power brakes with discs up front. This is the stunning '57 Chevy that drives so nicely that you know it wants you to take her to car shows near and far.
