There's no way anyone will mistake this fleetside Chevy pickup for a contractor's ride. The huge air grabber in the hood draws as much attention as the mirror-like shine of the front bumper and grille. And speaking of shine, you really need to check out the bed. Of course, what's really striking is the paint. The builder of the vehicle was a painter, and so the Purple Pearl went in with a careful and professional hand. It has the kind of deep luster that can draw attention day or night. This full shining package also extends to the alloy wheels. The reason for this is to draw added attention to how massively tubbed the rear end is. Ceramic-coated long tube headers add more power while contributing to the wicked rumble of the dual exhaust. The big V8 feeds a stout TH350 three-speed on its way to a strong Ford 9-inch rear with limited slip and 4.57 gears for confident take-offs. Keeping those massive Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires planted to the ground is a four-link rear with stabilizer link and coliovers. Plus, stopping is well in-hand with four-wheel power disc brakes.
