Description of 1963 Chevrolet Nova Pro Street |
Everything from the hood scoop to the ultra-wide rear tires instantly tell you this 1963 Chevrolet Nova Pro Street is built for speed. And everything from the performance-built V8 to the roll cage interior proves that this Chevy is not going to disappoint. We already know this one is taking advantage of the Nova's light weight to make a great speed machine. But there's also quality in this first impression, too. The body panels have well-finished look where you can really see the full-length body crease in the sheetmetal. Much of the trim was expertly deleted, including the door handles, to give this a sleeker look. And speaking of sleek, the metallic gray paint gives this one a slippery-smooth look in the sunshine. And pieces like the Weld racing wheels add to both the car's substance and shine. The detail-oriented package continues inside. For example, this pro street machine has a full custom roll cage. It's painted metallic gray to not only match the dash and door tops, but also it matches the exterior gray, because this tubing can be seen from the outside. This cage also protects the fuel call in the trunk. The door panels, dash, headliner, and carpeting all have the thoughtful look of investments. But as a true competition machine, radio, heater, A/C and even the rear seat have been deleted so that they don't zap the power from this Nova. Instead, this has all the competition-ready features you want, including low-back bucket seats with RJS racing harnesses. The dash is now dominated by the full AutoMeter Phantom gauge package, including a large speedo and tach. That last one goes particularly well with the Hurst floor shifter. There are a few comfort upgrades, like power windows, a tilt steering column, and power steering. They're all there to make being behind the wheel a proper command position. A true beast lives under the hood. This is Chevy's 400 cubic-inch V8 which offers small block weight with a big block displacement. It has been given the right go-fast goodies, like aluminum heads, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake. A wicked set of headers adds even more power while feeding the rather straight pipes of the big dual exhaust. This power package also has the right supporting components, including an MSD billet distributor, MSD ignition coil, Meziere electric water pump, and a Be Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. This is a monster motor and you get to fully harness the power with the Muncie M21 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. This is a strong setup with a reinforced frame, tubular A-arm front suspension, and a ladder bar rear with adjustable coilovers. And while you know the massive rear tires get the power to the ground, when it's time to stop, you also have dual-circuit four-wheel disc brakes. Pro street is all about being a serious power package, and you know this one does that with added flair. So don't miss this deal. Call today!!! |
