The C3 generation of Corvettes were the stingrays patterned after the Mako Shark II designed by Larry Shinoda and executed under Bill Mitchell's direction. After 1974 government restrictions, the gigantic muscle cars were being scaled back to just cruisers more than road carvers. The C3 Corvette though lived on being advertised as "a more efficient Corvette" while still maintaining the bite that wasn't currently being produced elsewhere. The 1977 models featured steel floor panels which reduced interior noise and weighed less than the previous fiberglass floors. Power levels and speed were on the rise while power everything (steering, brakes, etc) made these a pleasure to drive and handle. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. This car is powered by a 350ci V8 L-48, coupled to the turbo-hydramatic transmission. It runs, shifts and drives excellent. The car handles as it should and is a blast to drive. The Oyster leather interior is in gorgeous shape and the seats show little to no wear. This car comes to us from its current owner whom has had it for over 21 years. It has been lovingly maintained and is ready for Its new owner. The car has had a list of improvements over the years including stainless steel brake lines and having the rear end serviced and completely redone. Don't miss your opportunity to own this clean and excellent example of a C3 Corvette!
