Description of 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

1969 Chevelle SS Real L78 396/375hp carReal Kansas built car with "L" on trim tagBelieved to be 69k milesNo Reserve!!!Up for auction is an old school street warrior project. This car still has some it's old speed parts present such as ladder bars. Slots. Motion green fan. Headers. Gauges etc. If you want to restore an old Chevelle this is a great one to invest your time and effort. This is a real L78 Kansas built car with the "L"(see pic) on the trim tag so you know it is a real Super Sport. This is a pretty solid southern car. The frame and floors are in great shape with no patch work. The trunk is solid on the sides but does have an amateur patch in the center. The body does have the normal filler in the bottoms of the fenders. Doors. Quarters and some around the rear window. This car has been stored away for a number of years. This car is still sitting on its vintage slots with old school BFG bias tires. This SS was originally painted Fathom green with a black vinyl top and a black bucket seat interior. The interior is complete including the buckets. Console. Original AM radio. Factory gauges including 6k factory L78 tach. The carpet is worn and the dash pad is cracked. All of the seat belts are present and the dash is not cut up for aftermarket radio. Unfortunately this SS lost its original engine in a street fight years ago. The current motor is a 1972 "CTB" code oval port 396/402 Casting #3999290 with headers. Holley carb. and HEI ignition. The engine does start and run with no noises or knocks but has a tough time idling(bad gas. nbsp;Vacuum leak?) This SS still retains its L78 "837" hi horse alternator(see pic) and deep groove pulleys on the water pump and crank. Still retains its big block. Manual trans Harrison radiator with its original "BO" L78 only tag on it(see pic). The transmission is an earlier Muncie 4 speed. The rear is the original "KF" coded 12 bolt. 3. 55 posi. I believe this car is a lower mile car(69k) due to the fact it still retains its original two piece early front rotors. Original "BO" radiator and its original "837" alternator. This is a good car to restore due to the fact that it is a real SS car that can't be disputed because of the "L" on the trim tag. This car has good colors and options and is well worth the time and effort to restore. This car is being sold on a Georgia bill of sale. The car is being sold AS IS and has no warranty of any kind. Do your due diligence and ask any questions you may have before bidding. I can be reached through Ebay email or by calling 610-442-2503. Thanks for looking and good luck. ThaksOn Mar-28-15 at 07:33:24 PDT. seller added the following information:Just to add this car does have the single fuel line coming from the fuel tank not a dual line. The car is located in PA but the paperwork is from GA where I got it from. There will be no problem transferring the car into any other state with the paperwork that I have. Thanks
