Hi, you are viewing an Absolutely Beautiful Numbers Matching Real 1974 Camaro Z28. This Z28 Runs and Drives as Great as it Looks. It is also the Higher Luxury Type Lt Model. No noise, no smoke and runs as it should.. The Original Engine is Numbers Matching. Don't let so many others fool you with Terms like Date-Code Correct or Correct Engine or many things like that. True Numbers Matching means the Original Engine that came in That Exact Car. Which means the Vin Number for That Car is still Stamped on the Engine that is in That Car, like this one does. The Original Vin number has the last Numbers of the Car Vin Stamped on the Engine Bock in this car ! Most of them today are not Truly Numbers Matching. It also has Z28 stamped in the cowl tag. The 1974 Z28 is the Last of The Real Performance Z28s and the Last of the Better Looking Smaller Back Window and the Last of the True Dual Exhaust Z28s with NO Catalytic Converters and the Last to have 3:73 Rear-Gears with Posi-traction Rear End as Standard Equipment, not to mention the Only Year to have those Super-Cool Large Z28 Stripes and Graphics ! These Z28s are also Very Rare, because of the Big Gas Shortage Hitting in 1973 and 1974, they only Sold 13,803 of these. In Comparison they made 84,879 Z28s in 1979. The 1974 Z28 L82 Engine was still a 4-Bolt Main, Steel Crank, Impact-Extruded Aluminum Pistons and Heat Treated and Shot Peened Engine ! And it still had the 2:02 intake and 1:60 Exhaust Valve Cylinder Heads and a Better Cam. Don't let the 245 Horsepower Rating fool you either. In 1972 the Government Changed All Horsepower Ratings from Gross Horsepower to Net Horsepower, which means in 1971 or Earlier this Engine would be rated at about 300 horsepower. This Z28 also has Powder-Coated Headers and an Aluminum Intake, a Better Carb and Malory Hi-Volt Distributor and Wires for a little more horsepower too. The Body and Paint on this car is Exceptional. It is Super Straight with High Quality Paint on Original Sheetmetal with No Rust and NO Bubbles. It is also the Correct and Original Color. The Original Paint was just Faded and the Car only had one rust spot on one lower rocker that was fixed correctly. This was Not a pieced together project like most of these are. The Floorpans and the Trunkpan are also Original and Very Nice and Solid. The Interior is also Beautiful. The Original Dash was Restored by Just Dashes at a cost of $511.00 (no cheap cover here). The last owner bought a Brand New Vintage Camaro Rosewood Steering Wheel ($320.00) for a Better Look than the Plain Looking Stock One and I agree with his choice. You can buy a plain stock one and sell this wheel for much more if you want to go back to stock with it. The last owner also spent well over $3000.00 more on New Hotchkis Suspension on the Front End (including Control Arms), Shocks, Rear Leaf Springs, Fuel Pump, Etc..... Then I just installed a Brand New Complete Fully Welded Exhaust System (from Headers to tailpipes) that Sounds like Pure Muscle Car Heaven ! Also, I installed 4 Brand New White Lettered Tires with less than 50 (yes,50) miles on them. I also just installed a Brand New CD Stereo just to make Cruising even more fun. Also, this Z28 was an A.C. car originallyso it would not be hard to get it to Factory A.C. again, the controls, dash, vents, firewall, etc., all the hard to install stuff is already on the car ! This Z28 is Turn Key Ready to Enjoy. It is Also a Great Investment to own a Numbers Matching One of thesein this Condition. The Prices will go nowhere but Up ! It is just an absolute Pleasure to Drive and you wont want to put it back in the garage when you take it out. It is Not just the Fantastic Eye Appeal of this Z28 but also the Sound that turns heads Everywhere you go. It is Louder than Stock and everybody can hear that a Real Muscle Car is Coming, but its not too loud, to me its just Right. If you have any Questions, feel free to ask. And PLEASE, PLEASE do not Buy or Make An Offer unless you are 100% sure. I am selling a couple of my muscle cars for a real-estate transaction and I just don't have time to waste. Thanks Much !
