1956 Chevrolet 3100 Big Back Window Frame Off RestoMod Painted by the legend himself: Mike Lavallee from www.KillerPaint.com ($15K for airbrush work alone) This truck was featured on Hot Rod TV with Mike at his shop, pictures are here. Mike & Frankie, his dog, the day we did the shoot! Interior by NorthWest CraftedInteriors by Scott Stratton - Mike's first choice for all interior design work (also on the show) Replacement cost to build: $75K I don't have time to drive this truck anymore & I have 4 trucks, one has to go. Body removed from the frame & acid dipped. (2008) The frame was notched to fit a 1995 pickup bed.The frame was then painted.9" heavy duty Ford rear end was installed with new leaf springs Mustang II front end suspension was installed Door handles shaved, pick up bed was filled & shaved, custom tail lights installed, gas door hidden inside the bed, a custom stainless steel gas tank installed. A frenched power antenna was installed, along with power windows and remote popper door openers. Hard bed cover installed with gas struts, the bed was finished with a "bed rug". Headlights were recessed with custom bezels & halogen headlight bulbs. Parking lights were shaved & custom turn signals were installed behind the grille (Harley Davidson lights) 1957 Hood was shaved & louvered. A custom third brake light was built into the body beneath the rear window. Front & rear bumpers were re-chromed Firewall & inside fender panels were smoothed. Engine: 1978 350 cubic inch Chevy with an Iskenderian street cam and roller rocker arms. Ignition: Mallory Uni-lite & Intake & carb: Edelbrock Radiator: Cross Flow with thermostat electric fans Transmission: Turbo 350 with shift kit Brake master cylinder: mounted to the frame Power front disc brakes Steering column: GM tilt unit Gauges are VDO Interior: Honda bucket seats with console AC by Airtique K & N X-treme high flow air filterHas seat buckles Heated seats, low & high LED Ace of spades (blue light) interior ceiling cut out Rims: should be replaced, they are pitted. front: 18 x8 and rear 20 x 8.5 Paint: PPG Black Exhaust tips need to be replaced |
