Up for sale is this 1957 Chevy 210 Gasser named Axle Twister that has spent all of its early life racing in the streets and at the track around Salinas, California. Car has a 871 Blown 409 W engine and the 409 has been the engine of choice for this car since 1962. Car raced up until the late 70s then previous owner found it sitting behind a house in California in the early 90s and restored it to what it is today. He nostalgia raced it for a short time and then installed the overdrive transmission and enjoyed driving the car to car shows and cruise ins all over California. I purchased this car 5 yrs ago and have enjoyed it the same way here in Missouri. The car is extremely reliable and has made many long trips to cruise ins and just daily trips. Car is rust free and very straight. All lights and turn signals work like they should. Paint is nice. It is done in black lacquer and all the lettering and graphics are hand painted. The engine is a high nickel 1965 Truck 409 block and was bored .040" over and then installed Keith Black 8-to-1 blower pistons, Isky cam, Crowler 1.7 roller rockers, beefed up bottom end with APR fastener, Joe Hunt mag converted to distributor with MSD box, 8-71 GMC blower off a old diesel truck, two 600 CFM Edelbrock carbs, and a Centerforce clutch. Shifter on a Richmond Super Street 5pd with Overdrive . The car also has SW gauges, 4.11 Dana 60 rear end with Strange Axles, homebuilt wheel well headers and side pipes, tinted glass, Chevelle seats, and 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes.
