Description of 1949 Chevrolet Deluxe 157 |
1949 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe 2-dr Sport Coupe/Sedan with a clear clean title would make for a great Rat Rod project. This is a pretty rare car 1 of roughly 18,000 made is what I was told Vin on driver side door jam reads: 21GKD20078 on the vin tag but I just looked at the title and it reads 21GKD20076 so the DMV screwed up and put a 6 at the end instead of an 8. My dad had to send a bunch of pictures to the DMV to apply for a title when he got the car from me and he never bothered to check to make sure the vin on the title matched the vin on the car so the DMV and my dad both screwed up. I am not sure how much of a pain it will be to get this corrected. I don't know if this is something you will need to do or if we will need to do. I can send you a picture of the title if you want just send me an email. 56,643.7 miles on odometer3-speed on the column manual trannyInline 6 engine: GAA308623 stamped on blockStyle No. 49-1027Body No. J 2121Trim No. 157Paint No. 389 This car sat in a creek front end first for many years as a kid I rode my cycle back in the neighbors fields and was always interested in it and decades later my uncle who worked on the farm it was in decided to finally pull it out as it was buried 6 feet under ground then his wife used it to take pictures for photography then I ended up buying it from them after they no longer wanted it. My dad was going to turn it into a rat rod but things have changed and it is now taking up needed space as my dad sold his shop a year ago and needs to get rid of some cars because he no longer has a place to store this at his shop. I then decided to part out some of it and sold a bunch of parts off of it but have decided to try and sell it as is and if it don't sell I will continue to part it out and sell it piece by piece. The extra baseball looking bat vertical bumper piece is in the car but the mounting portion is broke off and still mounted to the car. Back bumper also broke/cracked. Engine is locked up. Floor pan and trunk floor rusted out in spots as well as lower parts of some of the body panels. Gas tank is damaged/exhaust/etc. Dents in roof. Frame and underside pretty solid overall. Needs a lot of work but it can be done more than likely best to just replace the engine and tranny and Rat Rod it. No seats I sold them awhile back fyi.Sold as is needs to go away ASAP! You have 30 days to make offers/purchase it will only be listed 1 time and if it doesn't sell I will be parting it out the rest of the way and then scrapping the body/shell or selling it. Price is sat at what I think I can make parting it out the rest of the way. Local pickup only as we no longer own a tow truck but if you are willing to pay for delivery I might be able to get my hands on someone to deliver it with a wrecker depending on price and location but I am not positive so ask in advance. $500 deposit within 48 hours of purchasing remaining amount cash on pickup. |
