Description of 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle |
I purchased this wagon from the second owner in northern Ca. two years ago. lt had been parked inside a building for the last 25 years. It was totally original. no rust. original interior. including rubber floor covering [ 300 series did not have carpet]. original paint [ with the exception of the tailgate which has been repainted] . original window sticker [ see photo]. I then replaced the weatherstrip. had the original seats inserted with period correct material. factory gm front disc brakes. hocks and ball joints. Purchased an original 1965 chevelle 12 bolt rear end. Then had it rebuilt with new 3:73 motive performance gears. eaton posi unit and all new bearings. eals springs. brakes. The car was then sent to Chad Maskrey in Des Moines Iowa to do the LS conversion. [Chad is a notable car builder in the Midwest. Builds sleepers with LS engines and blowers or turbos. Many of his cars have been in magazines. Heads were ported. blower cam and the Magnacharger installed. 4L60 transmission and new driveshaft. Was run on dyno. 517 HP to the ground. Car has all original body panels and floors in excellent condition. see photos. Has power steering and is very easy to drive Car is very fast. fun. and extremely reliable. The original owner added side marker lights front and rear. nbsp;took the fronts off but do I have them. Everything works except radio. |
