1969 El Camino with beautiful straight body and new paint. Mostly new interior and great running driveline. Youtube video link: https://youtu. be/VtFdEJWL6OYBefore they achieved muscle car status. El Caminos were touted as a gentlemans pickup with utility. good looks and performance. The chassis. driveline and much of their sheet metal came from the same mold as Chevelles. Currently selling for about half as much as its Chevelle cousin. it will absolutely get as many looks and thumbs up as any main line Detroit muscle car out there. DRIVELINE: Matching numbers. original 350 engine that runs fantastic. It is hooked to a nice shifting Turbohydramatic 350 and mated to a 10 bolt rearend with what I would guess to be 3:08 gears. A nice combination for cruising and performance. Since the engine is original. it would be a high compression engine but still able to run on unleaded fuel with no problem. 307 engines seem to be more prevalent in these models so the 350 is actually more rare. BODY: Primed and blocked several times for nice straight lines and finished with Highland Green basecoat/clear coat. Probably the single biggest expense on a restoration is the paint and this one is done very nicely. CHASSIS: Car is rust free. One floor pan section replaced. Remaining floor pans were good. Factory air shocks in rear with standard a-frame suspension up front the same as Chevelle. Tires are basically new and fitted to factory Rally Wheels with new beauty trim rings and good looking original derby caps. Rear bumper is presentable but needs to be rechromed. Front and rear bed chrome is new and remaining chrome is driver quality or better. All glass is good with no cracks. Hood is new. Brake system completely redone with new brake shoes. wheel cylinders and master cylinder. INTERIOR: Mostly new including window felts. weatherstrips and even new wing window rubbers and run channels. Carpet. door panels and headliner are new. Headliner is installed correctly and stretched nice and tight. Dash pad has been recovered at some point and looks ok but could use a replacement. Great running car ready to drive and enjoy. Still 45 years old so don't expect a brand new one. If you have a feedback rating of less than 5. you need to contact me before bidding. My name is Mike.
