Up for auction is an incredibly clean, well maintained, and extensively documented 1990 Chevy K5 Blazer Silverado 4x4. This truck is in incredibly good condition and is a true rust-free California survivor. This Blazer sold new April 11, 1990 to a couple in Sacramento, California from Frank Hurling Chevrolet. This is the fully loaded Silverado Edition Blazer which includes power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, A/C, cruise control, polished aluminum rally wheels, deep tinted glass, stainless mirrors, 3:73 rear axle ratio with 4 speed overdrive transmission, heavy duty trailering special equipment, quad shock absorbers, and AM/FM cassette stereo with digital clock. These options alone cost just over $7, 00 according to the original window sticker. Everything on this truck is original to the day it was built down to the original radio. The original fuel injected 5.7 liter 350 runs excellent with no hesitation and plenty of power and the 700R-4 overdrive transmission shifts very smoothly. The power windows, power locks, and cruise control work flawlessly. The 4WD high and low work excellent as well. The interior is in great shape and has no ripping or tearing in the upholstery. The all original dash is entirely intact with absolutely no cracking anywhere, something that is unheard of in trucks of this era. All three original gray GM floor mats remain in the truck. The original, unused Uniroyal white letter spare tire still remains in the back of the truck on a 15x8 rally and still has the original blue protectant coating over the white letters. The body is incredibly straight and rust free, only having a few small dings from use over the past 25 years. The undercarriage is very clean and solid, having only very slight areas of superficial rust. The doors, hood, and tailgate open and close like a new car. This truck also retains all of its factory decals from new throughout the engine bay and door jams as well as some factory chalk markings on the frame and firewall. The Gray Metallic paint is in excellent shape and shines very well, but has some very slight cloudiness in the center of the hood, something very common in GM trucks of this era, and several road chips towards the front of the hood. The documentation on this Blazer includes all three original owner’s booklets including the Warranty and Owner Assistance Information book, GM Maintenance Schedule book, and R/V Series truck owner’s manual, all inside of the original black vinyl Chevrolet carrying case. In addition to these books is the original window sticker from new in excellent condition with virtually no tearing or folded corners. Comprehensive receipts for parts and services done to the truck dating as far back as 1998 to the original owners are included as well. This Blazer is truly a time capsule and the extreme care for this truck really shows after 25 years. Please call 415-797-2531 if you have further questions. |
