1962 Chevrolet Corvette Let me start this off by saying this is the LAST Vette of the line in December of 1961. You can check the vin (104766). The C1 production of 1961 was done after this specific car! They were produced for a couple months in 1962. This is a true 100% EXCELLENT condition NUMBERS MATCHING all original BARN FIND! We went to purchase another car and found this under a TARP! The Roman Red paint appears to be original. The fiber glass looks really good with only a couple webs on the rear. Both doors shut very well and do not sag. The original wrap around windshield (last year produced) looks pretty good as well for being original. This car even has the ORIGINAL spare! Like I said the car is in EXCELLENT condition for spending 25 years in a barn! When the car was driven it was only on summer days. The bumpers and trim shine very well as do the badges. The black top does have one very little patch but looks incredibly good for original as well. Original factory hub caps look awesome and the original wheels turn true as well! You could pay a fortune to have a 62 restored to this condition and level but this original beauty has its very own appeal! You know 100% for sure this IS NOT a restoration hack job. It is the way GM built and intended it to be and that in its self is priceless! This is one super cool survivor. With allot of firsts and lasts the 1962 really stands out as an iconic classic. The trunk is in awesome condition and makes it a nice road car. This is actually the last year a Corvette was produced with a trunk until the C5 was introduced in 1997. The Turbo Fire 327 (first year of production) with 90XXX original miles runs and drives extremely well! It also sounds awesome and the original 3spd transmission shifts through all gears with NO stutter or hiccups! The engine bay is super clean and has the original tins that cover the plugs! This is rare in its self! Beings this is all original it also has correct hose clamps hoses and both upper and lower ignition shielding as well! All very desirable details that collectors are looking for! The rams horn exhaust manifolds are in great condition and add a nice exhaust note at the same time! The interior is in pristine original condition with no rips or cracks in the seats. The carpet is rip stain and tear free! The original wonder bar radio works extremely well and sounds good. The gauges look good and everything besides the clock works just as it should! The big three spoke steering wheel is an AWESOME look that is in great condition as well. This car is an ORIGINAL masterpiece that is no longer seen anywhere! Do not miss your chance to own a piece of history that can’t be recreated!
