Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro |
There are "Tributes" and there are "Tributes" I firmly feel I have taken this to the next level compared to other clones. I believe this is the nicest most accurate in every respect Yenko Tribute offered for sale. A Three Year restoration has made this nothing short of show quality. Under the hood lies a Dec 1968 dated coded 427ci V8 4 bolt main block (3963512) professionally built by Keith Pisut of Keith's Rod Shop in Fort Lauderdale Floridawho also did most of the final restoration to bring it up to concours quality using only date coded parts mostly from Heart Beat City Camaro who only carries the best for the Camaro.bored 30 over10.7-1compression has less than 1000 miles on it.solid lifter L 78 cam with crane gold roller rockers assembly steel crank 7/16 dimple rods correct winters rectangle port aluminum intake (3933163)m Correct Holly Carburetor($1500).I used Petronix ignition for realiabilitybut it is hidden to give it the old look. Distributor capradiator capanything that could make it original I purchased NOS parts. You will NOT find it in most Yenko Tributies Don Yenko I assure would approve of this recreation. ARP pushrodsguide platesstuds and locks. Ceramic coated headers with flow master exhaust The entire body was soda blasted and the frame sandblasted begin with bare metal. all panels were expertly fitted without any seams or splicing. Backing this engine is a 1969 date coded Muncie M20 wide ration 4 speed transmission and original date coded 12 bolt rear end built with a more street suitable posi-traction gearing. A new balanced chrome moly driveshaft and Spicer U-jointscowl induction hood front and rear spoilers We researched every book on Don Yenko and his Camaros and tried to duplicate with NOS parts and dated coded water pumpalternatorseat beltstrico wipersnew dashdelco battery like original with the glass technology by Speedway Motors. Check you books Don Yenko had the pebble grain steering wheelcorrect shifter knob Stewart Warner Green line gauges and Tach. The bumpers are again show chrome by Heart Best City Camaro.the fisher price sills are riveted like the original. This car also won the "George Barris" Trophy in 2014. I also had a Ram 98762 clutchGM flywheel and GM Bell housing correct and original installed last year by Bob Spencer Automotive in EriePa. I have a lot more pictures by am limited on Ebay to 24 please ask for more. I have the car for sale locally su will be receiving two (2) sets of tires one for show and judging (bias) and one set for fun and driving (radial) Very few can tell the original Yenko from this one. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for looking On May-19-15 at 03:07:57 PDT seller added the following information: to see more pictures of this car go to Hemmings.com the ad is #1742026. under 1969 Yenko tribute On May-21-15 at 12:11:31 PDT seller added the following information: This also includes a California custom Car cover with the car. plus additional embroidered Yenko logo car mats On May-22-15 at 06:14:48 PDT seller added the following information: I also have the rocker moldings still in the box I decided I want more the smooth look but they come with the car. Even the gas cap is 1969 NOS you do not see it but I am a purist and wanted the true Yenko that came off the showroom floor. On May-22-15 at 06:25:26 PDT seller added the following information: I also have the NCRS gold seal document that I paid for that shows the GM official production date was 11/11/1968. And with some research that the VIN number is just a few off from a Red Camaro that was a LM-1 in the LM-1 registry. Which tells me that this car (and the VIN shows a V-8) might have been an early option 350 called the "Small block" Sleeperwhich had the Muncie transmissionand special options that came on the car.. On May-23-15 at 06:12:29 PDT seller added the following information: To Clarify you will receive 8 tires and wheels one set bias that are like original ones used on the 1969 Camaro and one set of radial tires. The bias tires have less than 100 miles on them. I used them to win the Best of Shows on Many Events. and then put the radial tires back on and they are like new. |
