This is a cheap way to get into the cruise-in/local show hobby. The car needs nothing for weekend cruising, touring, events, etc. This Chrysler is a maintained survivor in good condition. Options include Golden Tone radio that still works, heater, power steering, power brakes, windshield washer (don't think it works), backup lights, trunk light, torque flight transmission, seat belts and undercoating. It is powered by a 361 big block wedge. This Newport has 87,000 miles on it, or 34 miles per Sunday since new. I have had it for 17 years. Despite the engine size and horsepower, the engine won an award in 1962 for fuel economy; I believe 21 or 22 mpg. I feel confident driving it anywhere without fear of breakdown. Car sits on Cobra R wheels with new Michelin Defenders ($610/ 90,000 miles warranty). Had to remove original wheels and tyres because one of the tires broke a belt. I think one of the photos shows them. Being unrestored, the car has flaws. You will find touch-ups, scratches and some rust. But it is still in very good shape for the year and has been oil sprayed.
