Vehicle Overview Exotic Motors Midwest is pleased to offer this stunning 1958 Chrysler 300 D! It has been meticulously restored in blue over ivory. The paintwork is truly stunning! It has a deep shine and is VERY obvious that a significant amount of care and time has been put into this car. All of the panels line up perfectly, the doors open and close smoothly, and everything works as it should! Inside, the seats are beautifully upholstered; it feels like it just rolled off the showroom floor! Behind the wheel, this car rides wonderfully with no squeaks, rattles or issues of any kind. Some history: The 1958 model year was to be the last use of the FirePower Hemiin the 300. The engine was still 392cuin (6.4L), but tuned to 380hp (280kW) as standard. Thirty-five cars were built with fuel injection and delivered 390hp (290kW), but the system was troublesome and most cars soon had it replaced with the standard twin-quad carburetor setup. A 300D was driven to 156.387mph (251.680km/h) at the Bonneville Salt Flats that year. A total of 618 hardtops and 191 convertibles were produced, in part due to a recession in the economy.
