Description of 1981 Citroen Other |
1981 Citroen 2CV-6 Charleston MINT Condition!! Only 30231 Miles This is the most advanced version of the 2CV with the air-cooled 2-cylinder 602cc 29 horsepower engine (flat twin similar to a BMW motorcycle) 4-speed manual transmission and inboard front disc brakes. The 2CV-6 Charleston version is the most luxurious and last of the 2CV series. This particular car was owned by a physician in Poland who bought it in Monaco. It was used sparingly and had only 9694 miles (15600 km) when purchased from him during a family visit to Barcise Poland in June 2006. Before shipping it was sent to a Citroen shop where the car was completely checked over. There was no rust but the engine transmission suspension system & brake system were all gone through before the body was resprayed with imron paint in the correct two-tone gray colors. The interior was also reupholstered to the highest option level and a new factory retractable top fitted. The car was driven 700 miles to the port and shipped to the United States where it has been enjoyed by a retired couple in Vero Beach. It was approved & cleared with U.S. Customs in November 2006 (clearance documents included) a Florida title obtained (also included) and it is legal for use here in the States. The car now has 30231 miles (48653 km) and runs perfectly. It has a top speed of over 70 mph and will cruise at 60-65 mph highway speeds comfortably getting 37 mpg on regular gas. Everything works properly and there are absolutely no issues. New Firestone tires are installed the valves have been adjusted and all fluids are fresh. These front-wheel-drive cars have a supremely soft suspension and make driving over rough roads a pleasure. The roof opens all the way to the rear trunk the windows fold up from the bottom and the rear seats can be quickly removed for additional cargo space. They are a lot of fun to drive and are rarely seen here in America a constant source of interest at cruises and shows. |
