Description of 1977 Datsun Z-Series

1977 Datsun 280Z V8 conversion. Ford Motorsport 306 ( 30 over 5. 0). T5 speed. Ford racing crate motor that is rated at 340HP. aluminum heads. Very nice conversion done on a rust free car. Car is very stout as might expect with this motor. Car runs and drives nice. Transmission is a rebuilt unit. however it is a little noisy. but shifts absolutely fine. New 15" Ansen Sprint alloy wheels. Other than the throaty exhaust. this car is quite the sleeper. Oodles of power. with great handling. This motor combo is set back in the chassis more than the original 6. and weighs the same if not less than the original. As I stated before. the body is rust free. paint is presentable. I would call it a 20 footer. Interior is in nice original condition with some wear on the bottom of the driver's seat. the rest is in very nice condition. Car runs nice and cool with a "BECOOL" aluminum radiator and adjustable electric cooling fan. Car could use some minor sorting. The heating/ ventilation system is all there and hooked up. but non-functioning? There is also a small oil leak from back of trans. probably a rear output shaft seal. The speedo is also non functioning as there is no cable connected between the Datsun speed and the Ford trans. I am putting this up for sale now before the snow sets in. This would make an easy winter light fixer-up for a cool cruiser for the Spring. I'm not desperate to sell. nbsp;as I do enjoy driving the wheels off of it. I have driven this car for numerous miles and enjoy the heck out of it. If it doesn't sell now. I will put the minor effort needed to make it 100% over the winter. Please feel free to call me with any questions at 413 527 8303. I'm available anytime if someone would care to come check it out as well.
