1978 Datsun 280Z. 5. 7L V8 LS1 Engine. 4L65E 4 Speed Automatic Transmission w/ Electric Overdrive. RWD. 89. 00 Miles on Body45. 00 Miles on Factory LS1 MotorThe entire body was sandblasted (have pictures) and two small rust areas on front fender was repaired properly with metal. It was professionally painted the factory gold but a nicer shade. New Tokico blue shocks. Hotchkis 1" lower springs. new bushings. Konig Rewind 16" rims w/ Michelin P205/55R16 Radial X tires(85%) tread remaining. Carbon fiber front and rear bumpers (saves about 130 lbs. ). All bulbs replaced. high cool aluminum radiator. Brakes (all) and new master cylinder. New alternator. battery. electric fan. I'm not going to list all the new parts he put on the original six cylinder since it's no longer in the car but all the original parts. good engine. 5 speed transmission with new clutch and short throw shifter go with the car if wanted. The gas tank was reconditioned. front and rear window seals were replaced. seat upholstery. full dash cover. rear deck carpet. All vinyl interior parts were redone with SEM vinyl paint. The original A/C was gone thru and redone. When I got the car back home I replaced the original clutch and added a short throw shifter and I drove and enjoyed the car for about six months. The headliner was redone. CUSTOM FEATURES: 1. CUSTOM EXHAUST include headers. ($350. 00) Borla racing muffler ($400. 00) Maryland Speed electric cutout ($250. 00) custom tip ($50. 00) and 3" custom exhaust system ($1000. 00) labor. 2. CUSTOM COLD AIR INTAKE. (powder-coated built specifically to reduce AIT air inlet temp. by 100 degrees on a typical 85 degree day. Before custom intake AIT was 187 degrees. after custom intake 87 degrees. This helps the computer advance timing and give the engine more power. All mechanical work was done by a certified GM mechanic. (No shady work done) Over 160 hrs. billed to complete this car. The ECM is new and provided by PSI CONVERSIONS which included new wiring harness. ($800. 00) The car was brought to Blanchard Racing to tune the car for maximum street performance. ($400. 00) The headers can be opened on the fly with a touch of a button while driving. (gives the car more power) The interior of the Z is 100% factory except for the dash cover and the fabric cover over the dash cover. (can be removed in seconds) Everything works including the clock and the factory AM/FM radio. The car had (working) factory A/C (including new condenser in the dash). JCI provides the bracket. compressor. dryer and hoses for this car for $750. 00 if someone wants the car to have the A/C working again.
