EARLY 1967 DATSUN 1600 FAIRLADY ROADSTER SHORT WINDSHIELDFIRST OFF: E-Bay will not allow me to list as NON Title!! This is a bill of sale only. As with all my listings this is a NO RESERVE auction with low starting bid. This is a matching numbers. early 1967 production Datsun 1600 Roadster. At the mid point of 1967 the model was restyled with a taller windshield. This negatively affected the look of the whole car. This car built with the rare combination of black exterior with red interior. These early Datsun sports cars are finally gaining traction in the market. They had great build quality. performance and reliability that the British and others could not match at the time. Metal dash with toggle switches and padded top/surround. Dash top is intact with no tears. Last registered in 1988. Recently removed from dry storage. Mileage reads 72. 4K. I am listing this for a long time friend and car guy. After cleaning the points and plugs and connecting a temporary fuel supply. it started right up. sounded good and did not smoke. Car is 99% complete and original with Toshiba AM radio. sill plates. mirrors. emblems. lights. reflectors. eats. seat belts. center console. glove box innards/board. latches. gauges. top mechanism. shift plate and boot. ignition switch and locks (no keys). air filter housing. 5 original wheels with 4 caps. newer factory dual outlet exhaust that still has stickers on it. etc. etc. Additional parts included: Port Hole Removable Hard Top! Spare fuel tank. Hood and Rear Deck Llid. Please note: People are asking $500-$600 for original hoods and deck lids. You get an extra of each! The Hard Top is another bonus!Someone has cut the floors out shy of their perimeter. There is rust in the rockers and fenders. There is an area of rust through to the frame on it's top side where the floor would sit on the frame (drivers side) shown in pictures. The important suspension and steering points are solid. The doors are great with no rust. Trunk and bulkheads are solid. Windshield has no cracks or pucks but has a small amount of shallow wiper rash. Door glass in exceptional with no haze or de-lamination. No battery supplied. Car rolls and the tires hold air. I have endeavored to show all this in the pictures. Things actually look better in person than in the pictures. There has been no effort made to hide anything. Basically this is in as-found condition. Barn Find they call them. Car is being sold no reserve on bill of sale. Car and parts are located in Pocasset. MA on Cape Cod. Highest bidder wins the car. I do all my auctions this way.
