1972 datsun 521 pickup base 1.6l

This is a 1972 survivor. Originally from California, it was bought from the original owner in ? on eBay. My dad bid on the truck but it ultimately was won by a buyer in Alabama. The new buyer was going to convert it to a RatRod but was talked out of it from the local Alabama Datsun community who realized that it was in too nice original condition to go through that kind of customization. So he contacted my dad to see if he wanted it, which he did. My dad kept it in the garage in his home in Tennessee and drove it around his small town for about four years when he gave it to me. It has been garage kept by me ever since and all I've done to it is oil changes. It gets driven less than 1000 miles a year, mostly to the dump or to the local big box hardware store.
All of the truck is original, with the exception of the fuel pump, which is electronic and was installed by a local hotrod mechanic when we couldn't get a mechanical pump to work; they kept breaking. The mileage on the vehicle is accurate, and I have original registration cards and mechanic receipts from the original owner. The floor mat is the original plastic, the door panels are original, and the seat is original vinyl, although it's starting to rip along the seams. It also comes with some NOS parts, gaskets and such, the original tool kit, and some manuals. There are a few small dings and some paint fading (also original) consistent with a 50-year old vehicle.
The AM radio works, as do the wipers. Although the original windshield washer fluid bag is present, it is not working.
