1956 DeSoto Firedome Sportsman 330 cu. inch V/8 Hemi power steering power brakes This car ran well for the gentleman I bought it from (who owned it for 25 years in California). Hard to find 2 door hardtop Firedome (S-23) with 330 Hemi. Push button Torque-Flight automatic transmission. Car is 98% complete. Missing a few chrome parts, but I have found most and I am including them all. Also including manuals, rebuilt 2 barrel carb w/ 2 extra rebuild kits. Passenger door handle (one it has now is broken). Also an engine wire harness bought on Ebay to be used as template for ordering new harness (Rhode Island Wiring Service will reconstruct a new one from an old one). I am planning on including everything I have gathered for the Desoto to make life easier for the buyer. It has dual exhaust. 2-barrel carb. Some rust starting on quarter panels. Driver's door has evidence of bondo. All the glass on car is good. Some rust beginning to show in trunk. Small hole in floorboard on driver's side. Needs complete upholstery work. Bottom of back seat still has original factory plastic on it. Missing inside of glovebox. Front grille is in very good condition. Obviously after 60 years, there are some dings. It will need to be carefully slow started after not running for the last 5 years or so. Has cloth covered wire engine harness that needs replacing (rhode island wiring service). If you are NOT a real buyer, don't waste my time, or yours. I wouldn’t be selling my car if I did not have the need to. I’m a 100% Disabled Army Vet and working on my Phd, I can’t do both school and car. I am easy to work with, just contact me. Car will need to be trailered, can help load car. Buyer is fully responsible for shipping. Please note: $500 deposit required 24 hrs after auction ends. With full payment 7 (seven) days after auction ends. Sold with bill of sale and clear California title.
