Description of 1930 DeSoto

1930 Desoto rat rod project. This was a four door car that someone along time ago turned into a pick up. BILL OF SALE ONLY no title. on a Dakota frame. 5. 2 v-8 automatic. Motor runs good but trannie has issues. Motor has been moved further back. Brand new drive shaft. Rack and pinion steering. Front disc brakes. Will need a radiator and electric fan. they have them here on ebay for reasonable prices. I used the one I had in here for another project. Starts right up and runs good but transmission will need to be repaired or replaced sometimes it does not want to go in reverse. Brakes work good. Have driven it around the property. its a blast to drive. Plenty of power. Doors open and close only inside handles. No glass. . but flat glass is cheap. Just make cardboard templates and bring to a glass shop and they will cut safety glass. I usually pay about $150 for the glass. This is a very rough rat rod project. Sometime in its past a tree fell on the roof so roof is dented and cab is shifted. Dual side mounts. No you can not drive it home. THIS IS A PROJECT. Hood is just sitting on there and other things are just tacked in place. This is an off road for show rat rod not intended for the street.
