Description of 1949 Dodge Coronet

For auction is this 1949 Dodge Coronet 4 door barn find. This car has been in the same family since new. It was last licensed and running in 1972 and has been stored inside since then. There is a clear Illinois title with the car. I'm not sure why this car was parked, ut is mostly complete. However all systems are going to have to be addressed. The original intent of the family was to restore this, ut the Uncle who was going to do it has passed away, o that isn't going to happen now. This car has not been stripped of any parts, lthough some may have gone missing over the past 40 years or so. What you see in the photos represent what we have. The car has its original drive train consisting of a 230 cu.in. L6 engine with three on the tree manual transmission. The car has rust-through in several areas at the door bottoms and around the trunk and is missing the right rear fender. The interior upholstery is very worn but the bits and trim are mostly all there. The dash is intact except for the radio, hich is out, ut included. The speedometer needle has gone on holiday. The glass is intact except for the left rear passenger door and the right front passenger door. The rear brake light lenses are broken. It has some perioddesirable options including a left side spotlight and windshield visor. The tires are of course shot, ut I will have something cobbled onto it so the car can be moved. A complete set of stock hubcaps are included. The front bumper is off but included. The car will have to be picked up by the buyer and trailered with all four wheels off the ground. Shipping, f needed, ill have to be arranged by the buyer, ut I will have the car available for loading at its current location. If you have any other questions, lease ask and I'll do my best to answer them. I have tried to show the rusted areas in the photos but I could not get adequate photos of theundercarriage.
