Description of 1949 Dodge Coronet |
This is a 1949 Dodge Coronet Barn Find with great patina. Leave it how it is. shoot it with clear coat or paint this thing up and have a sweet car to go cruising in. Would make a great rat rod car or restoration project. Would be a fun car to put a roof rack on and throw your surf boards on top and take your family down to the beach. Has lots of original chrome that goes with it. A lot of it is pulled off and in the car. Chrome is original. has some defects but is in really good shape for the year and a lot of it can be buffed out. Appears to have most of the chrome. It has a flat head 6. Runs and drives. but all I've done is drove it to move it around on my property. So I'm not aware of condition of engine or transmission. I just know it shifts into first and reverse. Previous owner has driven it into town. The thing fires right up. It has three on the column shift. Things that I've noticed that it needs: fuel tank (or repair the one that it has). glass for front windshield and passenger side door. some original wires need to be replaced due to wear and tear. Needs a good set of tires. The tires that are on it right now hold air and are good for rolling it around. There's surface rust and two small spots where the rust has eaten through on the rear end. but easy repair. shown in picture. Needs an ignition switch. Comes with brand new 6 volt battery with warranty. This is a car that runs and drives and has a title. Buyer will need to arrange for shipping. Serious offers only. Email me with any other questions and I'll try to answer them as best I can. A video will be posted of it running here in the next day or two depending on weather conditions. |
