Description of 1973 Dodge Dart |
Offered up for sale is this rare, 1973 Dart Swinger. That's right, you don't see too many Mopars around, let alone Darts! All around a great choice, and will appeal to any car enthusiast. It turns heads each and every time you rumble down the road in this 318 Mopar with dual exhaust. Overall the car is pretty solid, and shows well at the occasional cruise-in and car show. If you're not looking to spend an arm & a leg, this Mopar would be a welcome addition for any car enthusiast, with an asking price of just $12000. It's not perfect, but remember this is no $25,000 trailer queen either...it's a driver, or for the person who wants to put the time/money into making it a top trophy winner. The infamous, stock 904 3-speed transmission was totally rebuilt by LD Walker Transmissions right here in West Columbia, SC. He's been in business for nearly 30 years. The all new transmission has just 100 miles on the rebuild. The previous owner had worked on the the engine...I just dressed out the engine bay with the following: Aluminum air cleaner Edelbrock high polished, high performance upper intakemanifold Chrome valve covers Chrome alternator Stainless Flex fan Aluminum radiator Stainless, flex radiator hose New plugs New wires New battery New master cylinder New brake booster The car rides on BF Goodrich radials in all four corners & they've got plenty of tread. The engine bay is super clean as you can see from the pics. The car has power steering & power brakes. The AC is there, but may be missing some components as many older cars do, and I never had an interest in hooking it up, because the car sounds too awesome with the windows down ;) The split bench seat backs with the built in head rests show like bucket seats. The radio isn't working, but the previous owner has placed some sort of an FM converter(?) or s/thing that sits in the glove box. I'd rather listen to the engine over the radio any day ;) The interior is the original green vinyl. Again, overall a great car & priced to sell. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me at my email below. If you're going to make me an offer, you'd really want to see the car in person before just throwing a figure out there. I welcome anyone who lives outside the area if they want, to get a 3rd party mechanic to inspect the car. I've bought/sold 14 vehicles over the past several years & there is no attempt here to oversell this car...it is what it is. I sold a Mustang to an individual who drove all the way up from Texas & trailered the car back home over 20 hours. I've even bought one from out on the west coast...had it shipped to me here on the east coast, and after several years of enjoying it, the new owner had it shipped all the way to Nova Scotia! The car is sold "AS IS" with no implied warranty, and any sale will be final. All emails with any questions should include your email address. Keep in mind that I'm just a car enthusiast myself, not a mechanic. I can take plenty of pictures, just request what it is you'd like. Any offerto purchasemust include a phone number and a best time to call. You can reach me at kkeene@sc.rr.com...my name is Kevin. |
