Description of 1915 Dodge Other |
1915 Dodge brothers touring car, rat rod, like a Ford T-bucket. Mounted to chevy frame, inner tube structure for body strength. Spring behind suicide front, straight axle, with friction shocks. Rear end suspension modeled after Buick touring car, leaf springs and new shocks, with custom Watts link. 3 speed manual trans with new clutch, throwout bearing, and freshly turned flywheel. 1949 Ford 8RT flathead with total rebuild. Block bored and decked, new speed pro pistons, crank ground, new bearings, Erson performance cam and johnson adjustable lifters. New valves, valve springs, locks, etc. Heads milled, performance valve job, 95% oiling mods so it has an oil filter unlike most flatheads. Rochester 2 barrel carb on custom adapter. New brakes from the master cylinder out. New wiring from the fusebox out, new lights, blinkers, turn signals etc. Electronic distributor with MSD box. High torque mini starter, not a rewired 6 volt stock unit. 1 Wire GM alternator New water pumps Aluminum radiator with electric fan, so it runs cool even in a parade on a hot day. New spun aluminum gas tank. New SAFETY glass tinted windshield, not cheap unsafe plate glass. Things are done right, not hacked together. Hop in and go, needs nothing but a new owner. Need space so my loss here. Hear it run here: on youtube /watch?v=6AzSUcPmS-8 Body has been sanded and clear coated since these pictures, as can be seen in the video of it running.
