Description of 1939 Dodge Other Pickups

I have a 1939 Dodge 1/2 ton short bed truck. It is very solid with NO cancer. My original intention was to part it out. With it being as complete and solid as it is. someone would have a very nice start to a restoration of their desire. There aren't many 1939-1947 Dodge trucks out there. and very few 1939s. Here are the specifics of various areas of it:Cab- Solid corners. floor and header above windshield on the inside. **It has the windshield frame. **hard-to-find windshield crank still mounted. **the usually-missing transmission floor cover is there (shown in the pictures). **the also usually missing seat is in it. all gauges are there. Windshield glass and rear glass are in the cab. Doors- Solid with no rust-out. P/S is straight. D/S skin is dented. Hinges are good. doors open & shut well. Windows roll up & down. Grille- Very straight and rot-free. Some of the stainless is on it. Fenders- All 4 fenders are cancer-free. The D/S front has a couple of workable dents. the other 3 are in very nice shape. None of the fenders have stress cracks or tears that is common on vehicles of the 30s. The mounting edges are nice and cancer-free. Very solid edges. Hood- Very straight and nice. Comes complete with center hinge and side hinges. I also have new. unused DODGE nose lettering. It will come with a new aftermarket center hinge. Running boards- Solid and straight. Bed sides- Also solid and straight. Bed front- Solid. dented a little. Tail gate- Solid. also dented some. Original chassis- Solid and in good shape. Has new gears in rear end. Motor and transmission- Currently out of truck. but available. I disassembled the truck many years ago with the intent of doing a full body-off restoration. The cab is still mounted on the chassis and has been stored outdoors. so it comes already equipped with nice patina. All of the sheet metal mentioned above was removed from the body. sandblasted. primered and stored in a barn. It will have slight oxidation surface rust from being protected by a nice thick coating of barn dust. With these pieces already removed. you will be time and money ahead. You also will be able to see exactly what you will be getting. with nothing hiding under rust or paint. The truck will be sold with a bill of sale. I had a title for the it. but over the years with subsequent moves. it has been misplaced. I will be filing for a lost title. If it comes before the truck is sold. it will be provided. I have springs and Ubolts to remount the rear end to load the cab & chassis onto a trailer. I also have the original wheels with tires for the rear end to load. I also have many extra new parts such as weatherstripping. new pedal rubber. dash knobs with cables and other aftermarket parts that can go with the truck. *** Be sure to use the Enlarge feature to check out the condition of the parts. especially the mounting edges of the fenders.
