Description of 1935 Dodge Woodie wagon |
This rare 1935 Dodge Woodie Wagon - 4 door (suicide) is one of the most stunning Woodies available. Located in Southwestern Connecticut it is constructed of Genuine Mahogany with Maple panels. The body is by J T Cantrell Co. All wood except panels, D pillars, ceiling & tailgate is original. Exterior: Blue/Black Mahogany & Maple original wood Interior: Black seats/topPainted red spoke steel wheels with trim rings and hub caps. Restoration was recently completed, less than 500 miles on a complete frame up restoration, including all the wood, engine, transmission, rear-end and hydraulic brakes. Shipping from the factory April 1st 1935, by the end of the month they were shipping with rear opening doors. Car would be considered an 85/90 pointer. Restored to be a great driver, put the key in and driven or taken up a notch to Concours level. Commercial vehicles of this nature commonly blew engines because they were under powered from the factory. This Woodie has a 1956 Plymouth 6 cylinder, 125 HP flathead engine (non-original) producing over three times the original horse power. This wagon also has heat. Transmission: 3 speed manual with overdrive A very rare option for the time was removable glass panels in the doors and cargo area & glass in the upper tail gate. Crank windows in the front doors. Weather stripping throughout makes this Woodie comfortable to drive in any weather. Serial # 8053528 Model KC Mileage: 70,791 |
