Fully restored example of the iconic finned 1960 hardtop sedan. Styled with aircraft elements this car was the epitome of America’s space race dreams. Ram Fire wedge combustion chamber 330 bhp, 383.0 cu. in. OHV V-8 engine with 4-barrel. Torsion bar independent front suspension. The three-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission is coupled to a 2.93:1 rear ratio live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs. Four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes bring it to a stop. Wheelbase: 122.0 in. This Azure Polara Hardtop Sedan is a nut-and-bolt restoration. It has the coveted 383 wedge head, Torqueflite three-speed automatic, power steering, power brakes, windshield washers, and three transistor Astrophonic AM radio with enlarged higher output speaker! The interior is a blue vinyl-cloth tufted combination and is in very good condition. The unique dashboard is topped off by the push button transmission and the transparent acrylic metal flake steering wheel. The alignment of the body and doors is excellent, the paint is excellent, and there is ample chrome for any 1960s aficionado. You can eat off of the underneath of this car. Period. The engine compartment is correctly detailed and is completely accurate.
