Description of 1987 Dodge Ram 1500 D-150 Royal SE |

1987 Dodge Ram D-150 Royal SE Short Bed Pickup with factory power steering! This truck has 97931 original miles. Video and addition pix. available upon request! Here is a RARE 1987 Dodge Ram D-150 Royal SE Short Bed truck that is in very good original condition. It has a strong Legendary 3.7 225 cubic inch Slant Six with TorqueFlite three speed automatic transmission. The Dodge smokes a little at start up and has a few minor leaks but runs and performs great. This truck has factory power steering and factory AM-FM with cassette player with aftermarket speakers to improve sound and it works great. It has been upgraded to electronic ignition. Starts right up everytime and runs great, smooth tranny. The paint has been redone in silver but the original was red. The body is super solid. The cab corners are good as are the floors, bed and rockers. The paint job is so-so, has some runs and can't be buffed out because it is under the clear coat. There is a small dents on the tailgate and some small dings on the sides. The truck has a new spray in bedliner and looks great. The interior is nice with new carpet, original seats and dash all in great condition (no cracks). Interior has no rips or tears. The door panels show minor wear but look good for their age. All the original gauges work like they should. All the lights and wipers work great. The windshield washer and the emergency brakes do not work - in fact the emergency brake pedal is missing. This truck has 97931 original miles but since the truck is 30 years old the title shows exempt. This truck drives great and I would drive it just about anywhere because it runs that good. The tires are 255/70/15 Grand Am Radial GT raised white letters and in very good condition. The rims are the "white steel rims" that have been professionally painted a great steel gray. This truck spent its entire life in the 'salt free' South and currently has a clear South Carolina title which I hold in hand. This is what I call a rust-free vehicle - there is no rust of any significance, there are a few small spots of surface rust on the frame but other that it is great. The windows are manual and work properly - all the glass is excellent with no scratches or cracks. I have driven this truck 800 miles with no problems. To be a great truck this truck would need a new paint job or would make a very good daily driver as is. It would be a perfect truck for someone who just wants a cool old truck for cruising around. This truck is what I call a great 20 footer (looks great at 20 feet) - I have already mentioned the imperfections so I won't repeat myself but the interior is in very good original condition. This truck has been well maintained and has fresh coolant and engine oil. This truck rides great and runs great and does not at all have the "worn out" feeling and is a lot of fun to drive. I always get comments at the gas pump. I was told that this is a matching numbers truck but I could not find the number on the engine (if someone could tell me where to find I will be glad to take a picture of it).
