Description of 1978 Dodge Other Pickups

Low Reserve!!This is a rare and excellent running 1978 Dodge D200 with a factory Mitsubishi six cylinder diesel engine. Uncertain if miles are original, though the maintenance records and condition suggest they are. I have maintenance records from the previous owner back to 2014 when he began customizing and upgrading it. Over $8500 in recent repair and upgrade receipts! Oil and filter changes were done religiously under 3000 miles. The engine is fairly common as it was used in a variety of applications, but finding these pick ups with the factory install is rare. Dodge did an excellent job fitting them together and making a sharp looking product. Below are some engine stats taken from Wikipedia and Allpar websites:

The engine is in good shape and runs very well. It is factory stock and all maintenance work has been performed by professional diesel technicians. There is a slight leak from the valve cover. Transmission is a 727 automatic and shifts smoothly. The torque converter drains after sitting for long periods and requires a little idle time before driving.
The body is straight and in good condition with no rust and no prior accident history. It is beautiful but I wouldn't say it is show car quality. The paint is bright and has no signs of oxidation and there is no orange peel. There is slight paint damage just above the lower trim on the drivers door, it is shown in the pictures. The interior is in good shape with original upholstery and dash. The dash is crack free and has a custom cover as shown in the pictures. There are two aftermarket gauges mounted under the dash. The radio is the factory original. A cup holder has been installed on the floorboard. The seat is factory upholstery and has a slight tear on the driver side .There is a spray-in bedliner with matching toolbox. The Michelin tires are in good condition as shown. The truck runs good and I would be comfortable driving it anywhere.Overall, a well cared for machine that looks great and is in very good condition.

The winning bidder will be responsible for picking up or arranging shipment of the vehicle. I know a few good shipper's locally that I can recommend and am willing to help load if needed. Full payment is required in cash or cashiers check before I will release the vehicle and title. Out of state buyers will be provided with a 30 day temporary registration and provided with a clean title. In state buyers will be given a 3 day temp and sales tax will be included the sales price.
