Description of 1964 Dodge Power Wagon |
This 1964 Dodge W200 Severe Service Power Wagon has been driven daily for the past several years. It has good compression and uses no oil.The truck's mileage is unknown, as the odometer has not worked since I purchased it. It comes with records and history back to its purchase in 1964 by the Sacramento California Water District, including all receipts and descriptions of work done in recent years, including front axle rebuild, brake rebuild, new clutch, radiator, belts, upholstery, and everything else to bring it back into reliable service. The lower doors on this truck have rust holes in the corners and lower seams, and the floors have pinholes, but are still very serviceable. The cab has clean rockers and drip rails, and is very clean otherwise. The entire truck has little dings and dents from being used as intended, but no major body damage. Lights/speedometer currently do not work, it needs a new switch. The cab does not lock, but the utility boxes all do. I use this truck as an expedition and work vehicle, it went over the Sierras and back off road, pulling a flat fender jeep three months ago. It has been on many of the Vintage 4x4 events and gatherings on the West Coast. I hate to see it go, but I need a bigger 4x4 truck to pull my vintage bulldozer. The truck is equipped with: LA318 v8, 4 speed transmission, Dana HD 44 front ( the biggest front axle offered in the W200), Dana 60 rear, 19.5 inch rims, Braden LU-2 Winch, an an Oakland Utility service bed. I will throw in a set of 5 16 inch rims with Power King 900-16 tires as well, that I use in the winter, and tire chains for the 19.5's. This truck is a beast in the snow. I am keeping the tools in the pioneer rack for sentimental reasons, but they are easily found at many hardware stores. If you don't want the rack itself, I can remove it as well. Buyer is responsible for transport after purchase. I have described this truck to the best of my ability, please ask questions prior to bidding (925) 395-1100. I am in California as is the truck, please text or call at a reasonable hour, and contact me only if you are actually interested in this truck. Thank You, Ryan |
