Description of 1977 Dodge Ram Van |
Up for sale is my 1977 Dodge B200 Conversion Van built by Grand Systems in Elkhart Lake Indiana in 1977. I have had this van for over three years and had a lot of fun at the cruise nights but I am itching for a new project now so this auction will be NO RESERVE!! Starting at 100 dollars. Don’t miss your chance on this one at no reserve. All new Cragar wheels with P295 50R15 on rear and P265 60R15 on the front with new Mastercraft Avenger Tires. Original shag carpet in very good condition. The rest of the original Grand Systems interior also in very good condition. All original interior lights work and also the glove box light works also. I did remove the vent in front/center of van as shown in the pic and sealed the hole on the roof. I don’t think it would of cleared my garage door so I removed it. I do have blue crushed velvet to recover center area if you wish to do so. Seats were recovered in original fabric. The original fabric was still in good condition but not as sharp as I wanted. I have plenty of fabric left over also if you ever need to recover again. Custom floor mats. Original stripes are still on the van with the original mural re cleared. The silver was redone because it was in poor condition but was the original silver and was not a repaint. Drapes were redone because the original ones were faded. Original 318 motor has been rebuilt and runs good. Original 727 transmission had a vibration at 50mph and was smooth on both sides of 50 but I went ahead and replaced the transmission with a new 727 and now the vibration is gone. Also put in new U-Joints. Also changed rear end oil and it looked great. Popped off the rear end cover and inspected the gears and they looked very good. Original AC components are all there however I never charged it for use. Heating controls work though. All instrumentation works. Original 8 track radio works, also the 8 track motor runs but it is not strong enough to pull an 8 track tape. It has a 130 amp alternator. Has a new dual fan aluminum radiator custom built by Be Cool radiators. I have it set up with a manual fan switch. I just like it better that way. Because in the winter you don’t need the fans. Gas tank was replaced by previous owner. Very little rust and very little repair was needed for the body before silver repaint. Body is in incredible condition considering how these vans rusted back in the day. You will be blown away at how good the underside of the van looks being in original condition. Just light rust on the usual areas like the coil springs and a few other places but the floorboards are great and fenders are great also. These are very hard to find in this condition. There is a crack in the passenger side mirror. If there is any negative on this van the left side of the rear fender is approx. ½ in higher than the right side. It’s not much but there is a slight difference. The front end has a slight difference also. The van is 43 years old so I am not surprised by this I have had other classic cars where the level is a little off. I have a new set of front coil springs if you would ever want to install them. The van also has new rear leaf springs. I wanted a little rake over stock so I put some new ones on. Over all the van is excellent and you should have no problem going anywhere you want. Please write with any questions at all. Sweet Shag Wagon!! Van was appraised for 20K. Clear Title! Please write with any questions at all. Thanks for looking Van is of course sold as is used no warranties expressed or implied. |
