Description of 1970 Dodge Charger

Up for auction is my 70 Charger 500 SE. 383 Magnum with four speed trans. All number sare matching. VIN. Fender tag. trunk lip. radiator support. engine and transmission are the original. I also have the Broadcast Sheet. I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN 1996 in El Paso TX. Originally sold in Las Cruces. NM. Car is F8 green. green interior with black top. Has manual drivers mirror. manual steering. manual drum brakes (11") and manual transmission with pistol grip shifter and console. Body is very solid. has all its original body panels. nd floor pans which are all in exceptional shape. The car does need paint. the original owner told me that he backed into a light post and damaged the left rear quarter panel. It was dented in from the back just above the marker light. They did a poor repair back then. and painted the car at that time. The poor repair still looks bad today. The trunk floor is original. with only some small holes in the center section. Both trunk extensions are in very good shape with zero signs of rust. There is a little surface rust at the base of the rear window. but no holes. Two small areas of rust starting on the same quarter panel that had the repair. The panel could be repaired. but i would replace it. Rest of the body has a few nicks and parking lot type dings here and there. but is all original and rust free. Car was stripped from the firewall forward. and painted base/clear in the engine compartment. and also both sides of the inner fenders. K frame was sandbasted and powder coated. along with the front brake backing plates. upper and lower control arms and splash shields that go between the tires and door hinges. Engine is rebuilt in 2005. Bored . 040' (390 cu in) with Keith Black domed pistons. moly rings. ARP rod bolts. resized rods. and entire rotating assy was balance along with the front pulley and vibration dampner. as well as the new Centerforce clutch assy. Oil pan is a repro street Hemi pan. with high volume pump. ( Original 402 pan included with sale) Edelbrock steel bushed double roller timing chain. Comp Cams . 488" . 491 " lift cam. along with new lifters. pushrods. rocker arms with hardend chrome rocker shafts. Cylinder heads are from Muscle Motors in Michigan. Mildly ported with oversize 2. 14" intake valves. Intake manifold is Performer RPM. with new Quick Fuel 750. Water pump and housing are aluminum. I do have the original intake manifold. air cleaner. carburetor. water pump housing that is included in the sale. Original exhaust manifolds are still on the car. along with a TTI 2 1/2" exhaust system with H pipe and factory tips. but in 2 1/2" inlet. and made from polished stainless steel. Interior is very good. I have replaced all seat covers and upper door panels with pieces from Legendary Auto. carpet. headliner. package tray. arm rest bases were also replaced. Lower door panels and everything else is factory original and in near perfect shape. Seat backs could be replaced. as they are showing age and have become kind of chalky. Chrome and stainless are in very good shape. not perfect but pretty damn good. All brakes have been replaced. to including shoes. hardware. wheel cylinders. brake hoses. Drums are original 11' all around. I upgraded the leaf springs and torsion bars to R/T spec pieces when i rebuilt the front end as well. Engine harness and forward light harness were replaced. rest of wiring is original and uncut or hacked anywhere. There were only 1. 35 1970 Charger 500 's made with the 383 and four speed. Of those it is unknown how many of them also had the A47 Special Edition package as this one does. The fact it still retains all its original body panels. engine and transmission. fender tag and Broadcast sheet make this a very rare find and worthy of a correct restoration. I will be happy to answer any questions. or send any additional pictures. Payment via bank to bank wire transfer. Car will be released when payment clears. and shipping is responsibility of purchaser. I will assist in any way that i can. Thanks for looking!
