Description of 1971 Dodge D/W Series Adventurer Camper Special |
Vehicle Details The Dodge Adventurer SE Camper Special is a true classic. There aren't many of them left on the road. The Adventurer SE Camper Special was the Dodge D-200 with a nicer interior/exterior trim package, and an add-on option of a slide-in camper. Vehicle purchase includes (4) original rims and hubcaps. I am 3rd owner. The truck body is in exceptional shape, leave the classic patina or ready for new paint. There is a dent in the passenger rear corner panel behind the wheel well. I've owned it for 22years, I put a donor engine in at approx 65,000 out of a '69 Power Wagon. It is a 318 4 barrel instead of the original 2 barrel. Compression is great, i put a new Edelbrock 4brl carb and auto choke when I put the engine in. I have photo documentation of the repairs. This is a gem for someone that wants a a renovation project, or just a daily cruiser. Runs great, mechanically sound, all the electrical works. There are a few minor repairs needed. The rocker panels were replaced but weren't finished 100%. In the last 10years I replaced the body mounts and floor pan panel replacements, dynamat sound insulation, refurbished the interior, replaced the power steering gear, and modified the exhaust to a 2 pipe exhaust from the dual manifold. The truck spent 40years of its life in CO, and has been it VT for approx 10 years. It has never been driven in the winter in VT. I now live in Utah and have been paying storage in VT for 2 years. I either need to ship it west or sell it....and unfortunately, it's time to sell. |
