Description of 1982 Jeep CJ |
Up for auction is a completely restored 1982 Jeep CJ5. This is a Golden Eagle tribute and NOT a genuine Golden Eagle. The pictures demonstrate the extent and level of restoration from the exterior finishes, to the undercarriage and engine compartment. The 302 engine and manual transmission have been rebuilt with the clutch being renewed in the process. All surfaces are nearly flawless. It has covered less than 300 miles since the nut and bolt restoration a couple of years back. Here is a video of this Jeep running--It was originally going to be on Bring a Trailer, but they did not agree to my terms. https://youtu.be/Dw0sm1ohmB8 All suspension components have been restored or replaced as needed, with poly bushings throughout the chassis and body mounts. Since this was a body-off restoration, the frame and leaf springs were powder coated, and all new brake lines plumbed throughout. The paintwork is lustrous and shiny. The entire body, including inner fenders, the tub, and engine bay were all painted to match. Included in the finish, the floor pans were treated to a tough bed liner type coating that matches the paint and interior finishes. The gauges and interior trim is all new, including the dash pad, and extensive attention to detail was given to all of these treatments. Please take a look at the pictures. There is a soft bikini top included in the sale. There are no doors. This is a spring and summer time vehicle that any Jeep enthusiast would be proud to own. Please note that the restoration and rebuild of the engine did not include any of the emissions equipment. I purchased this vehicle outside of California and brought it with me when I moved here. It has not been tagged for the road here in CA, although title and registration are current and in my name. Please consider this when bidding on this vehicle. One issue that bears mentioning is the slight exhaust leak coming from the left manifold at the rear. . Please ask questions prior to bidding. I will store the Jeep while shipping arrangements are made. I will do this AFTER full payment is received. I would like payment within 5 days of the auctions end, with a $500 deposit made through PayPal immediately following end of the auction. Communication is key. Please don't bid if you are not genuinely interested in this vehicle. |
