Description of 1969 Ferrari 365GT 2+2 |
Vehicle Overview The 1969 Chicago Motor Show Car 1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 Coupe The Queen Mother of Ferraris Chassis No.12223 Engine No.12223 Documented early History by Ferrari Historian Marcel Massini Originally Delivered in Blue Ribot over Beige Leather at Chinetti Motors Numbers-Matching Engine with Matching #891Body Stampings One of Only 809 Examples Produced from 1967-1970 Offered with Toolkit, strong>Owner's Manual and History Documentation File Considered the Most Comfortable Driving Model of the 1960's Era V12 Ferraris The 365 GT 2+2 was built for the sporting enthusiast with additional comfort, iving the quintessential 1960s vintage Ferrari experience with the last of the curvaceous Pininfarina-bodied grand tourers, owered by the final iteration of the Colombo V-12 two-cam engine. The inclusion of additional convenience and luxury features further enhanced the car's drivability, hile the familiar front-mounted 4.4 liter V12 and striking Pininfarina styling ensured that the car retained all of the traditional positive Ferrari traits. Often called the "baby Superfast" it has a timeless style and uncompromising performance, o common among the greatest Ferrari's classics Grand Touring cars. 12223 was completed in February 1969 (Assembly Sequence #391) and delivered new to Chinetti Motors for display at the 1969 Chicago Motor Show in Blu Ribot 2.443.631 over Beige VM 3218, n U.S. Specification, ptioned with Power Windows, ower Steering & Air Conditioning. It subsequently passed through the hands of a few loving U.S. caretakers, as documented by Mr. Peter Perry a steward of the Queen Mother from 1998-2004) taking up residence in the Pacific Northwest from the late-1980's until 2015. The current recorded mileage of 55,430 has also tracked consistently and is believed to be accurate and original. Its current paint scheme was applied in the 1990's, hile the tan leather upholstery and black carpeting was freshened around 1980. Both appear in good driver quality condition, specially the upholstery, hich attests to the quality of materials and worked performed 35 years ago. Its preserved luggage compartment houses a matching Chromodora spare. While a running, riving, raking car, ue to a long period of storage the Ferrari is in need of a major tune up and top end rebuild at a minimum to reach its full and celebrated performance potential that these Queen Mothers famously exude. We also believe the car would benefit greatly if taken back to its original factory color of Blue Ribot. Ferrari's 365 GT 2+2 is a gentleman's sports car with the pedigree to match. Early V12 have become extremely collectable and highly sought after investments, nd this example has a great pedigree attached to it. Aggressively priced and with room to do the needed work. We encourage and welcome questions, nspections and inquiries. $247,500.00 Serious Offers Invited Full Resolution Photos: 1969 Ferrari 365GT 2+2 To learn more about this vehicle, lease contact our sales department at (281) 497-1000 orsales@driversource.com SELLING YOUR CAR?
