Description of 1977 Fiat 124 Spider NO RESERVE AUCTION - LAST HIGHTEST BIDDER WINS CAR! |
Thank you for looking at my vehicle's listing. You will need a Paypal Account to bid. If you don't have one, please call with your offer (please note any offers below the current auction bid price will not be considered, however, any offers above the current auction bid price will be considered - just so we don't waste our time). This car is also listed locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early if a credible offer is received and accepted by me. With that said, if it seems like I might end the auction early, I will notify any and all current bidders in advance of accepting an offer so they may have an opportunity to send me their final offers through auction bid or buy it now options on eBay (if the auction bid is the same as the buy it now price, the auction is over). For those of you competing for cars out there, here's where things are at right now - thus far, I've only heard three offers this week (locally), one was good, but the potential buyer's funds were not; one offer wasn't fantastic, and even though I can see how some money will need to be spent on the paint job, I still need a bit more than this person's offer in order to recoup at least some of my losses on the mechanical costs I've invested in this car ... and well, one (offer???) was just so low-ball that it was basically an insult to 124 Spider Lovers everywhere and I won't consider letting it go for less than scrap metal prices (so please don't do this with your offer) - so now I'm listing it on eBay to try and recoup at least half of my investment in this car since I can no longer finish the project due to unforeseen circumstances. The Buy It Now Price is basically half of my parts costs less the average price of what it might cost a potential buyer to ship this car "potentially" all the way across the country if the buyer needs to use a car transport service (As for shipping: 1) The shipping arrangements and pick-up fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer; 2) Yes, this car will start when it is moved and it doesn't need the extra charge applied by the car shipper for not running - for those of you who know about shipping cars). If you have any questions about the vehicle, call 917-720-6394 to leave a message with your inquiries, as well as the best contact information and time to reach you and I will return your call as soon possible or send me a message through eBay. This car is being Sold As-Is in an Auction with No Reserve and with an accompanying option to Buy It Now. If you win the vehicle, please send a $500 DEPOSIT to my Paypal Account WITHIN 24 HOURS of the auction ending time. REMAINING BALANCE to be paid WITHIN SEVEN (7) DAYS of Auction Ending Time by Cash, Wire Transfer, Cashiers Check, P2P Banking Instant Payments sent via email (usually offered through most major banks such as Chase, BofA, WellsFargo, etc.); I also accept BTC, ETH, or LTC. Please contact me once the deposit has been made so we can work out the paperwork and the buyer's vehicle pick-up details. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up and or shipping at their own expense (pick-up or delivery fees are not included in the final auction price) and the buyer should be prepared toTAKE POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE PRIORTO THE SEVENTH (7TH) DAY AFTER THE AUCTION CLOSES. This car is beingSOLD AS-IS, with no refunds, guarantees and or warranties either expressed and or implied - which means the buyer is responsible for any and all repairs and that it is the buyer's responsibility to inspect the car before bidding. Once you buy it - it's yours. When you view the pictures of the vehicle, make sure you look at them on a large screen to ensure that you can see all the attributes of the car. If you are nearby and would like to look at the car in person or if you have any questions, please contact me directly prior to bidding. Offered for auction today is a 1977 Fiat Spider 124 (1800) Convertible. This 1977 is known as the "Sport Spider" with an Original Weber 32 ADFA Carburetor (rare find) and a rebuilt 1756cc engine.I bought this vehicle in 1993 with 23,045 miles on the odometer and in the current pictures, it has 31,986 (though I still take it for short drives, 1-2 mile drives, each week to keep things moving and it just rolled over 32,000 this past weekend). The odometer is believed to be accurate, as the previous owner was said to be the original owner of the car. This car has a clean title. Also included is a Like-New Color Copy/Glovebox Book of the 1977 Fiat "Sport Spider" 124 (1800) Original Owner's Manual offered through The Fiat of North America Motor Company. This vehicle has received approximately $7900 worth of new parts and upgrades, including from this year (2017):
As you can see in the pictures, the paint has faded a bit over time (vs. the way it used to look when the paint was new a few years back - also included in the pictures) - and even though it has always been stored inside while I've owned it (and is currently stored in a fully enclosed interior RV storage unit until it sells), much like all of the other Spider 124's, it does have a few rust spots and some interior cosmetic work that needs to be completed to make this car sparkle again (please note the orange on the hood is spraypaint that was put on there only to prevent rusting while I was working on the mechanical parts). This is a super fun car to drive around and as you can see, the mechanical aspects of the car have had a lot of work, but the "pretty" factor needs to be restored and that is why I'm selling it on eBay for as much as I can get back out of what I have into it in parts because I no longer have a place to restore the rest of it. So, it's a great little project for someone who loves these cars! Please note, this is as comprehensive of a list as I can think of to write about the car, but if you have any further specific questions (or if you're nearby and would like to see the car in person), please ask questions prior to bidding. Thank you for looking and happy bidding! |
