Designed and manufactured by Italian carrozzeria Pininfarina, the monocoque, front-engine, rear drive Sport Spider debuted at the November 1966 Turin Auto Show with styling by Tom Tjaarda. This is a desirable earlymodelbefore thelarge DOT-mandated bumpers, smogequipment, and federalized gauges on '72-'76 cars. YES, those small chromed bumpers make a big difference in the elegance and simplicity of these earlier cars collectability. And no smog requirement in California is a wonderful thing to behold in classic car ownership. Survivor cars are all about the original state of the vehicle. Body and paint are the critical component to a really great survivor example.
