Big Red WebsiteBig Red YouTube VideoBig Red FaceBook PageHere is a unique opportunity to own a rare part of American history. For sale is an eye catching 1964 Ford Country Sedan. This time capsule falls into the "preservation class" of cars. Big Red currently has just over 73. 00 original miles. The car is reliable. safe. in fantastic working order and is driven several times a week. The interior is in amazing condition. The 352 engine exhales through a duel exhaust and accelerates easily with an automatic transmission. The newly installed A/C uses the original controls to keep the cab at just the right temperature regardless of the weather outside. Three point seat belt harnesses have been added on all three rows for the safety of all passengers. Whether it's a trip across town or across the country. Big Red is ready when you are. Some may refer to Big Red as a Galaxie Wagon. Regardless of what you call her we enjoy cruising around town. Everything on the car when we bought it was original equipment. It had been used but well maintained from the day it was built. This is key because one of the worst things for a car is to sit and not be used. The plan for Big Red was to only do maintenance. repairs. and upgrades that preserve the history or improve the safety. reliability and functionality. For example. original Ford stock vinyl from 1964 was located and used to repair the front passenger seat. The previous owner ordered the car to his specifications and he and his wife drove it for 42 years. We have service receipts up until 2006. We also have other historical documents such as the salesman's hand written notes recording features to be ordered as well as the original payment booklet. After the couple passed away the car was kept at a museum in Hershey. PA. We purchased the car through a consignment dealer in Florida several years later. Big Red is a favorite around town and inspires smiles everyday. We are sad that we need to sell her but we know we'll find a great home for her soon.
