Description of 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint |
motorama Store 1963 Falcon Sprint 2 door Hardtop - genuine 4 speed Sprint - project car with a nice solid bodyThis is a factory black on black V8 4 speed Sprint (a genuine Sprint. not a converted Futura). I had been searching for several years for a genuine 4 speed '63 Sprint to keep. and had just about given up hope of ever finding one. Eventually. I got very lucky and found not one. but two cars being sold as a package. Both cars are genuine Sprints. and both are factory black 4 speed cars! The project car that I am selling here actually has a better body than my other car. but it is incomplete. The car is the perfect basis for building a race car or street rod. although it could also be restored to stock with some effort. Needs a lot of work. but has big potential- It has been in dry storage here in Southern California for over 30 years. and it has a super nice solid body. Easily the best basis for a restoration project you will likely find. Finished Falcon Sprints are getting pretty pricey - this one will allow someone to get in reasonably and take it to whatever level you want without being instantly "underwater" on the project. You will save thousands of $$ in body work starting with a dry car like this over a typical rust bucket. Photos show some surface rust. but the panels are very solid (even the torque boxes. rockers. and battery area). This is a roller with no power train. Factory five lug wheels. Still has clutch pedal and factory cut out on the tunnel for shifter. Has an uncracked dash pad. No other parts are included other than what is shown in the photos (if not shown. I don't have it). A rusted or crashed Falcon donor car can supply the majority of the needed parts. and there are multiple sources for new parts online as well. Sold as-is where is for parts or restoration. No warranties expressed or implied. Miles shown are incorrect-actual mileage is unknown. Sold with an old California pink slip (long off the DMV computer. so no back fees are due). The car was given a CA DMV assigned number. but this matches the actual factory stamped VIN number on the inner fender support. No door tag. There is a great video with Jay Leno and his '63 Falcon Sprint on youtube (I couldn't place a link here. but the video can easily be found on youtube). Jay found his Sprint on BAT. and he really seems to love it. I'm happy to answer questions. or send more detailed photos of anything you'd like to see. and will be available to show the car to anyone that wants to inspect it personally. Transportation is up to the buyer to arrange. but I will assist with loading onto the truck/trailer. I can also assist with export if needed. NOTE: the photos of the Rally Falcon. TransAm Falcon and wild drag racer are for inspiration only! Please check my feedback rating and bid with confidence. |
