66 Mustang Fastback K code For sale by owner. unusual history This car left the US in 1966 and went to Switzerland. It's an original 66 K code GT mustang 2+2 top loader 289 hipo, xport car. Putting out 271 HP. Manual steering, nd manual disc brakes. This car hugs the road and handles like the true mustang that Shelby won races with back in the 60's. It's one of the most pleasing mustangs to drive...ever! This car is an original k code, t has a pony interior, nd is a real GT 2 +2. The car was originally imbroglio in color, he only thing on this car that is not door tag correct is the color. This car is the real thing.....no compromises, ot a clone, ot a Hertz. This is the fastest stock mustang made in 1966, nd it's the car that Carrol Shelby turned into the legendary Shelby: meaning that there are very few k codes left, The car was purchased from it's original owner in Switzerland 9 years ago by the owner of a reputable Mustang shop in Paris. I purchased the car from him, o I am the 3rd owner. The car was fully restored in 2010 in France. I purchased it in 2011, nd re-imported it back to California in 2014. All the restoration parts on the car are original OEM from the 60's, hat French garage had purchased over the years. If you look under the bumpers you will see the OEM labels. The only parts on this car that are not from the 60's are the valve covers and center console and Detroit locker rear end...everything else is 100% original. The car has 2600 miles on it since the restoration, nd motor rebuild. I drove it from Los Angeles to San Francisco and back in the beginning of the year for fun. Zero problems... you could get in this car and drive anywhere. I believe this is the original engine of the car. The series numbers match, nd I saw the restoration of the engine myself. A few small modifications on this car. It has Koni shocks. Its got a Detroit locker rear end, nd it has the Shelby Drop. It also has excellent Michelin pilot tires on it, nd new magnaflow mufflers. It also has a discreetly installed classic auto stereo system, ith a basslink neatly installed under the rear tail panel..the sound system is excellent. I also will include the original k code steering wheel that came with this car, t's in perfectly restored shape. The wheel that is currently on the car is a very beautiful Motilita i purchased in Europe. This car is unusually original...and is probably one of the nicer and complete original K codes in the USA. This car is a driver, t's not a Barret Jackson car.. but it's a damn nice one. This car drives straight as an arrow, olds the road perfectly, nd stops on a dime. It's got the original quick ratio steering box: that combined with the Koni Shocks and Shelby drop, akes this a high performance car.
