Description of 1974 Ford F-100 F-100 Ranger 4x4 SWB, 360 4-speed super rare truck

You are bidding on avery nice, nbsp;hard-to-find 1974 Ford F-100 Custom 4x4 short wide bed pickup truck. This truck is very solid everywhere you look, nd while not a flawless truck, t is pretty darn straight, nd as rust-free as you might ever find. I think you will agree this is one of the nicer surviving examples, specially at this price level. It has been loved and well cared-for, roperly maintained over its life, nd is ready to go for the next owner.

The truck features a mild 4" Rancho suspension lift in front, ith blocks and overload springs in the rear, hich puts it at factory High Boy height, ike it's F-250 big brother... looks tough, nd is factory-solid. Rancho RS-5000 shock absorbers all around. She rides on 33" x 12.5" x 15" LT Mud & Snow radial tires, till retaining plenty of their original meaty tread. The wheel bearings have been redone, s have the brakes. Very solid and sound suspension all around.

The body panels are original Ford, nd while not flawless, he truck is very straight, s you can see from the various picture angles. She is wearing an older poor quality touched-up exterior repaint in white over the factory-original Wimbledon White, ith nice original factory paint in the door jambs and cabin. Again, hile not perfect, he paint still shines nicely, nd the truck shows well, s you can see in the images, aken from about 15' away. The glass is good throughout, nd the side glass rolls up and down with ease. Grills and front surround are excellent, ice chrome front and rear bumpers. Trailer receiver hitch with wiring under the rear bumper, ith a trailer brake controller in the cabin.

Mechanically, he truck is very sound, eaturing the original360 engine with a lightoverhaul, acked by the original 4-speed manual transmission, x4 transfer case, ig factory axles with original 3.50:1 ring and pinions (perfect balance of performance and drivability), nd locking front hubs. The engine overhaul included rings and bearings, ead surface. seals, nbsp;gaskets, nbsp;oil pump, uel pump, nd water pump. The exhaust sides of the beads were also surfaced, long with the factory exhaust manifolds for a tight seal with no exhaust leaks. A dual Cherry Bomb exhaust system was done at the same time; the truck sounds mean on the throttle. The truck has been driven regularly, o nothing but clean fuel has ever gone through the tank, ines, nd carb. The truck also features power brakes, nd a new 1,000 CCA battery to insure reliable starts every time. Radiator has been recently cleaned and serviced as well. Fresh engine tune-up parts, elts, oses, luids, tc.

The interior is still very decent and presentable, omfortably usable as-is, ith the original black floor mat, oor panels, eadliner, tc. showing honest wear, ith nothing hidden. The original bench seat has been changed to an 80's bench. Normally this would bother me, ut the style, olor, nd fit is excellent, nd not out of character for the truck... if you didn't know the difference, ou might mistake it for the original. Newer aftermarket stereo. Very nice gauge cluster, ll gauges seem to be working properly.

The underside is also very clean, ith no troublesome rust issues. Not flawless perfect, ut nothing larger than a pinhole here and there. The truck as a whole exhibits only surface rust here and there, ith the minor exception of a small pinhole perforation here and there.

This is a good one; you will be hard-pressed to find a nicer early Ford 4x4 shorty for the money. Clear title in hand, atches VIN exactly for inspection, xport, tc. Please be prepared to remit payment in full within 3 days of auction's end via deposit into my Bank of America account, ank-to-bank wire transfer, r major bank cashier's check (must clear issuing bank prior to releasing the title and/or truck).
