1972 Ford Highboy Ranger 4x4, 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 F-250

Are you in need of some excitement in your life? Not hitting it off with the ladies like you used to? Look no further than this ‘72 Ford Highboy. This truck is a dependable, running, driving, mud eating, stump pulling monster, and she is ready to be set free!

This rig has a rebuilt 390 FE engine with .030 pistons, approximately 10,000 miles on the rebuild. The NP435 4 speed transmission shifts nice and tight, and the Dana 24 transfer case won’t hassle you getting through the gears. The hubs on the Dana 44 front can lock and unlock by hand, and it won’t leave you stuck in the mud; in 4 low while in granny gear this thing can almost climb a tree. New heavyweight oil in both Dana 60 and Dana 44 axles, and in the transmission and transfer case. Recent electrical tuneup, Holley four barrel carb rebuild and oil change- The truck starts on the first click and runs excellent! The lights all work as they should. The odometer reads just over 27,000 though I suspect it’s turned over once. Everything works except the radio and turn signal canceller. Though the windshield is cracked and the tires are a bit weathered, this truck runs excellent and has lots of years of life left in her. Guaranteed to get you places a brand new stock F-250 can’t.

What about the rust? Well, it does have some. The cab mounts have fortunately been recently redone but it could use some floor patches, cab corners, lower fender patches and a bed floor. There’s no structural integrity harmed by rust so the truck can be driven safely as is, but a handy guy could repair the rust within a weekend.

Ready to go as your shop truck, running errands, pulling the car hauler trailer around, or taking the boat to the lake and up in the mountains camping, business advertisement, hotrod, ratrod, etc.,.

But let’s get a few things straight... This is an old classic. There's no cruise control, no GPS or fancy computer stuff. You actually have to put a little more effort into adjusting the seat than just pushing a little button, and you crank a funny knob around in circles to make the windows go up and down. There's no magic reminder to tell you that you should change the oil, if you have a low tire, or if you forgot to put gas in the tank. So if you're looking to add a little adventure, nostalgia and class to your life, this one might just be for you!
