Since the early days of hot rodding, he 1932 Ford as a concept has morphed into countless shapes and styles, rom subdued to radical. Many of the most important and influential hot rods of all time have been based on the '32 Ford, nd builders often turn to it to form the basis of the next trend setter in ‘rodding. *** RB Collection is very pleased to offer this incredible 1932 Ford"Dearborn Deuce" roadster, uilt by Downs Manufacturing of Wyoming, ichigan in 2006. Originally commissioned by an RB Collection client, his car was custom built to an extremely high standard in the Downs workshops using the highest quality components and materials available. The fiberglass body is beautifully constructed with outstanding fit and finish, ith a specially-built, ouvered three-piece steel hood. The gorgeous red-orange paint is a DuPont shade calledRed Hot Meltdown,and presents today in virtually flawless condition. Shaved exterior handles are operated via a Dakota Digital 10 function keyless remote system that operates windows, oors, nd the power trunk lid. Breaking from modern practice, his Ford is properly powered by a Ford V8. In this case, 351W "Blue Oval Intimidator"crate engine, itted with Vintage Air A/C, olley 4bbl and serpentine drive, aking a stout 400 horsepower. The block is painted to match the body, nd mated to a fully detailed Ford AOD automatic transmission, hich feeds power back through a Ford 9"rear with 3.70 gears and disc brakes. Pop open the door using the remote power door opener, nd you are greeted to a clean and stylish interior. The seats and door panels are trimmed in very high quality Camel-colored leather and beautiful tan carpets are bound in matching material and protected by embossed floor mats. Every component used was of the highest quality, nd this car has completed just over 800 miles since its completion. Performance is impressive and it drives beautifully. It remains absolutely fresh, ight and ready for enjoyment. This car was commissioned by a passionate enthusiast who spared no expense on the components or the build quality and it still presents in virtually new condition. The styling combines the proportions and simplicity of a classic Highboy roadster, ith its period details such as the round Pontiac tail lights, n combination with modern materials and finishes.
