Woodie wagons of all types have become iconic American collectibles. Ford Woodies are the best known and were the most popular. 1951 was the last year in which Ford built the Country Squire with real wood and ours is one of the best. This dropped front Woody resides in Sonoma County and had a complete frame off restoration starting in 1997. Restoration was thorough with the car being finished in mint green (Dodge OEM Turf Green) by Paint-n-Place. The wood is rock maple with tiger stripe mahogany from a custom kit by a Rick Mack. The interiorhas the 3-seat option with walk-through second row seating which may also be folded flat. The car is powered by the original flathead V8 engine and this one feature a three-speed manual transmission. Acceleration is quick with 3:50 rear end gears and the overdrive makes highway cruising enjoyable. This car is in top condition, as a radio delete, nd all electrical work has been completed in the past year (horn works!). The license plate reads WUDEE, ust for kicks. The owners are sad to the Woodie go, et eager to find the perfect new home.
