1964 Ford Fairlane  Description 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 Hardtop Street tuned 302ci V8 4-Speed Ford Toploader manual transmission MSD Ignition Rack & pinion power steering Eagle Alloy 15" wheels Recently redone upholsteryMotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this build 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 Hardtop, omplete with a 4-speed Toploader manual transmission. This is the true classic Ford enthusiast's car; these A-body Fords are increasingly becoming more popular for collectors. This Fairlane was finished in rich red paint; which is in excellent condition and shows very well. A recently reupholstered black vinyl interior looks fantastic; both front and rear bench seats are in great condition too. This very special Fairlane shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Both the front and rear bumpers fit nicely and compliment the body too. The Fairlane name was moved to Ford's new intermediate, ntroduced for the 1962 model year, o bridge the gap between the compact Ford Falcon and the full-sized Galaxie. Like the Falcon, he Fairlane had a unibody frame, ut the body incorporated an unusual feature Ford dubbed 'torque boxes', our boxed structures in the lower body structure designed to absorb road shock by moving slightly in the vertical plane. Suspension was a conventional short-long arm independent arrangement in front with Hotchkiss drive in the rear. Along with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, ith stop the car with ease. Inside, he vinyl black front bench seat and rear bench seat all look great with no major signs of wear visible. The door panels and dashboard are matched to the exterior of the car and look fantastic, hile diamond patterned black vinyl door inserts complete the interior. Paint and body are exceptional with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find. This nicely presented Ford Fairlane 500 features a built 302 cid V8 engine with 4-barrel carburetor coupled to a 4- speed Toploader manual transmission making this one of the most unique finds one will find now or in the foreseeable future! It should be noted that the speedometer is inoperable. One of the greatest aspects of the early muscle care era was the capability of these cars to be excellent daily drivers with smooth mild-mannered everyday driving, hen with a few modifications, eady for the track at the drop of a hat...or flag! These A-body Fords are becoming increasingly hard to find in such solid well-kept condition, specially fitted with the 4-speed manual transmission from the factory. As Ford themselves said, The 64 Fairlane has family-size room and sports-car feel" GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Current mileage on the odometer is original and showing 00196, t is sold as is on a Kansas title. It should be noted that the speedometer is inoperable.
