Description of 1969 Ford Fairlane |
1969 Ford Fairlane 2-door with original motor (not verified. just what I was told when I bought it). Comes with a spare 1969 302 CI motor out of a Ford Cougar (spare motor condition is unknown to me). Just a base model Fairlane; no power steering. no power brakes. no power windows. no power anything. Original back seat is in need of recovering but certainly works as a back seat. just not very pretty. Front seats a supposedly out of a Cadillac. with that said. they're not the original seats. This car should have a bench seat and therefore the current front seats are only bolted to the floor on the out side edge. really needs a bench seat or someone brave enough to drill additional holes in the floor for additional bolts. The front seats recline but do not fold forward. makes it difficult to get into the back seat unless you recline the front seat and climb over into the back seat. Lap seat belts for the front seats but no seat belts installed in the rear. Four new Sigma Extreme TR tires purchased in 2014 with about 50 miles on them. New carpet. New door handles and window cranks. New paint in 2014. New dual Flowmaster exhaust from headers back. New headliner and dome light. New door seals. New trunk gasket. New back glass seal installed. No cracks in the dash. not new. but not too shabby. Fires right up. after you pump the gas pedal a few times. Smokes a light blue smoke when first started. Oil pan has a drip at the gasket. Glass all there. lights all work. no radio. not even a hole in the dash for one (needs dome light bulb). Mileage is what is on the odometer. no idea if that's actual mileage. Front and back windows roll up and down like they should to include new rear window seals. Bunch of small spare parts but nothing worth listing here. Have a spare set of chrome rims from 1969 similar to the ones pictures. just chrome (not new obviously). |
