Mustang Grande coupe

I got this car as part of another trade lastyear. The fellow I got it from started to redo it and never finished. It was stored for 9 years inside. It was originally a California car, o it is EXTREMELY clean and pretty much rust free. It is a clean a Mustang as I have seen around here in a long time.

1970 Mustang 2DR Grande Coupe. Fairly low production numbers on these specialty Coupes. Something like 10,000 were built. This was sold in California originally and was originally equippedwith A/C, ut the prior owner removed the compressor and condenser. The rest of the system isthere. It was a factory setup, ot an under dash add on.

The engine is a 302 cu in V8 with an automatic. The engine has a mild camshaft installed. The engine was completely rebuilt 9 years ago by the prior owner and only run 500 miles before thecar was put upfor reconditioning. A divorce and lackof inside storage forced him to sell the car last summer to me.

The car has been stripped and refinished with a 3 stage pearl white paint job that looks very good. It is not a new job, o there are a couple chips that have been touched up, ut you would have to know where to look to see them. The finish is slick. The pearl pops in the sunlight, therwise you would not know it is there. They painted jambs and all, o it looks very good.

Iredid the complete interior. The car came with the optional black and white houndstooth pattern seat covers. I replaced the seat covers, he foam, he headliner, he carpet and sill plates, he dash pad and so on. The door trim panels are original and do have a littlewear at the pull pocket, ut a good vinyl upholstery shop could repair them. I just do not haveone near me to do it.

I redid the complete brake system on the car. It came originally with front power disc brakes, o I bought all new rotors, rums, ads, hoes, prings, alipers, ylinders, oses, ines etc. All is new, ven the brake light switch.

The exterior chrome was replaced by the prior owner and it doesshow some age. Not bad.

There are no rocker moldings on the car. The prior owner did not give them to me and I have not looked for any.

The engine has been upgraded to a 4 barrel carburetor. I installed an aluminum intake manifold and a brand new Holley 600 CFM vacuum secondary carb with correct linkage for the downshift. All works as it should The car has an electric fuel pump on it from the original owner and I did not mess with it.

The car has a brand new gas tank and linesin it.

The car is currently insured and drivable. I have it scheduled for a wheel alignment after the holiday because I replace the inner and outer tie rod ends and sleeves.

The car has BRAND NEW TorqueThrust style graphite wheels and Cooper Cobra tire installed that do not even have 100 miles on them yet.

Yes, he blinker hood works.

Yes, he car came originally with the vinyl landau roof and tail panel and they are in excellent condition.

There just simply is no floor rust or even any outer panel rust on this car. All originalfloors, uarters, oors, tc. Right fender and radiator support was replaced by prior owner years ago, assume from a fender bender. He owned it and drove it several years before having it painted.

Manual steering. Don't know why. Not to hard to add to a Ford though if you wanted to.

Brand new factory style dual exhaust system just installed.

Needs a new speedometer drive gear.

It is a very nice car and it is ready to go.
